SIL socks

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

A little late I’ve finished up the sister-in-law socks – they now need to go by rocket to Canada and get there by Wednesday….mmm not much chance, but better late than never!

They are a basic plain vanilla sock of my own devising, with a K2 P2 rib in the leg, which should avoid the falling down, saggy sock look. The yarn is Dream in Color Smooshy in the Blue Lagoon colourway.

So there you have it, sock finish number 4 for 2012 – and I hope a rather nice birthday present for my lovely and very outdoorsy SIL. Hope she likes them.

Have a good Sunday!

Helen

Nice socks – A Swiss friend of mine sent me a card via express mail and it arrived in Canada within two days – worth a try.
I’ve knit my sister’s socks as far as the toes; as her feet are bigger than mine I want her to try them on so that I can see how much longer I need to make them – I should be able to finish while we are visiting this coming weekend.
Now that the quilt and socks are finished what in the world are you going to do with yourself?

Oh well done, good luck getting them there – our post is usually good, it’s the Canadians you need to worry about ;o!
