The view from my window…

Sunday, August 26th, 2012

We had a big old storm here last night. The temperatures and humidity are down and there is a breeze playing with the trees. This was the view from my window this morning just after dawn. Seeing sunbeams break through the clouds alway reminds me that we are in the presence of something way, way bigger that ourselves.

Today we are dealing with the difficult issues of being back at school and finding the work a whole lot harder than expected and also a broken heart. It’s one of those days when I actually feel that I do have a purpose as a mum and sometimes I’m able to help just a little 🙂

Hope you’re having a happy Sunday wherever you are.

We’re back in the 30s – rain is forecast for tomorrow so perhaps we might see it cool down. Today I saw the first maple with red leaves – way too early – what a strange summer we all have had.
Hope the broken heart will soon be mended. I am sure that you are able to help more than you know.

Oh no! Surely Swiss chocolate can make any situation better? Hugs to the broken heart x

Oh dear, young hearts mend, eventually. I am bracing myself for a heart-broken 7 year old when school goes back, it won’t be pretty x

Lovely view! I do miss seeing hills and mountains.
All the best to the broken heart. Schoolwork is always hard after the holidays, I’m sure it will level out again after a while.
