Tennis and sewing

Sunday, July 7th, 2013

Today was a lovely day…..what with Andy Murray playing brilliantly and winning Wimbledon and time to just sit and sew, which is something I feel like I haven’t had for a good long while.

I managed to get the two rounds finished for Shevvy for the EEP bee….hand sewing in front of the tennis – not much beats that!

I also had fun making two blocks for Elisabeth – she asked for blue, teal, turquoise and cream/white. I chose two very different blocks from this wonderful book. As you can see, I really am a wonky stars girl at heart!

It feels like life is getting back to normal and calming down…at least until the next drama hits us!

There’s never a quiet moment with three teenagers in the house!

Have a good week,

I love your EPP! I saw Shevvy today at the LMQG so I hope I get to see her EPP quilt in all its glory when it is finished.

We also enjoyed the tennis today – although partly on the radio so that we could supervise the toddler/paddling pool situation – and partly in the kitchen on the TV whilst supervising the children/eat your dinner/for goodness’ sake pipe down and let Mummy and Daddy watch the tennis situation.

Also re your last post – what a super little pouch from Elisabeth – and in one of my favourite lines, Noteworthy (another line I wish I had bought at the time … however my backlog of fabric tells me I may have done the right thing in not getting around to it…)

My, you did accomplish quite a lot today! Great going! They are absolutely wonderful blocks and I know those receiving will be thrilled.

And so thankful you made it through this massive storm of June. Hopefully there will be fair skies for quite a time in your world.

Your blocks are lovely and your day sounds like it was great too.

I missed the tennis but heard the roar of delight from all our neighbours when Murray won.
Those EPP blocks for Shevvy are cute and I just loooooove mine. Thank you so much! I’m loving all the variety in the blocks I’ve seen so far.

The EPP blocks look very nice, not too difficult (hope not to be misjudging this)
I always love a block with a star or more than one, but the blue/aqua I LOVE!!!

Huh, I was just about to ask how you played tennis and sewed at the same time šŸ˜€

Just popped by to say ‘hi’ Helen – I spoke with Di today (the Cal Valley girl) and she was telling me how lovely it was to spend time with you…I hope one day we’ll all get together. Hope you are well. x
