Full of good intentions

Sunday, March 26th, 2017

I can’t really say where this year has gone to so far or why I haven’t been blogging. I mean, I intended too, but…..oh you now…little things get in the way. I discovered Instagram – I’m blaming Instagram….

Life on the hill has been fairly quiet. It’s been a grey winter, but not too cold or too snowy, just a lot of grey, which saps the energy levels a bit.

I’ve been focusing of quietly trying to live more simply. Not buying  much stuff, using up what I have…..books, fabric, the contents of the freezer….

The fabric use could go better and faster. This is my box for the smaller scraps – it’s probably a lot bigger than it looks on this photo. I’ve taken out scraps on a daily basis, am making a 2″ scrap vomit quilt and incredibly, it never gets any less…..

The good news is that I’ve used 12m more fabric than I’ve added to the stash since January, so even though I can’t see a difference, I know there is one!

I’m still looking for a new job, but the combination of being an over 50 foreign woman in a man’s world does not seem to be an attractive one. I persevere. In the meantime I’m enjoying this quieter, pared down life. I realise that it doesn’t take much to make me happy.

I have a double out there!…everything you say, I’ve said and everything you try, I’ve tried. Good to know that someone has fabric that no matter how I use it, there still is more than I thought. Thank you Helen. Kathleen

So pleased to see an update the other day!
My stash only grows no matter how hard I knit and now I’ve enabled my daughter lol

Need to get back to my blog, too – the “time” I thought I had the last 2 weeks was an illusion… ;o
