Nature’s Notebook – all done and dusted!

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Here is Nature’s Notebook – quilted, bound, washed and tumble dried – a delightfully snuggly quilt. This is the first purely blue and yellow quilt I’ve ever made – which is pretty surprising as this is one of my very favourite colour combinations. It must be the influence of my Swedish ancestors!!

I think this quilt is going to get a lot of use! I’m going to take it up to the mountains to use on one of the bunk beds, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wanders home again!

My Bernina 820 and its stitch regulator turned out to be worth their weight in gold. (And no, I wasn’t paid to say that!).

So that’s another UFO I can tick off the list….what a nice feeling that is!

Happy quilting!

Gorgeous! I really love the darker thread in the quilting – it makes it come alive. Fantastic!

Congratulations on a super finish!!! It looks delightful – I am almost at the stage where I can give my Janome a try out on the quilting of my paper piecing project – hope I am as successful as you.

It looks fantastic. Isn’t the 820 fun to work with? I’m so glad you start to like it. It would be an awful lot of money out the window if you didn’t ;). What comes next in the quilting department?

Absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of spring flowers. We get purple bluebells and yellow anenomes growing together near our lakes, beautiful.
